Starr posted on the difficulties she has in shoe-shopping. I, on the other hand, have become something of a shoe-aholic! Despite the fact that I usually "rent my clothes" at the local thrift stores, I get my shoes brand-new!
I love Earth Spirit shoes, because they are so comfortable. Christel and I each bought two pair this week--black sandals and black Mary Janes. I am very pleased with both pair:)
My other favorites are Anywheres--which I now can get online. These are made of hard rubber, have a nice wide toebox, a gel liner and a sole which includes raised [if you turn them upside down] reflexology points. They are pretty indestructible although I can be very hard on shoes. Since I found them at a 2001 nursing conference I have bought four pair, I think, and I use them for any non-dressy occasion.
In my reorganizing I now have a big basket of shoes in my closet, with other pairs at strategic locations. I guess I really ought to have a "shoes" category in my budget!

Miracles abound:)
Christel has been encouraging me to update my blog. I really should have posted sooner that by March 21st I had learned that the exhorbitant fee for writing the order for the back brace had been fully covered by the insurance company! I am grateful for the coverage, but I still think the fee is ridiculous!
I also am now only rarely using the brace. I am so grateful that the Missouri doctor encouaged me to wean off the brace starting at six weeks. If I had stayed in it for the 12 the Virginia doc recommended, I imagine I really would have needed physical therapy because I would have become so dependent upon it. As it is, I am doing great--and I am most grateful.
